Yesterday was the first day I realized just how sad I'll really feel when moving day comes. In recent months, I spent so much time planning my way out of here that I never stopped to truly express my appreciation and love for everything San Diego has been for me. Truth is, San Diego created an adult out of me. Fresh out of college, I moved down here with hardly a plan besides to continue dancing with UrbanFX. My eyes were young, and I only saw what was in front of me. I didn't have to worry about the bigger picture or long-terms plans quite yet. I had the luxury of living without much worry. I did it, and I did it well. I laughed my ass off, drank like a camel, ran around the city as if I had lived here my whole life and owned part of it, and I made some really great friends, and definitely created lifelong memories. And in the process, I grew up. I faced realities I had never experienced before, and learned the true meaning of independence. San Diego is a gem in this massive state of ours, and I will forever be grateful to this city and its people for embracing me, for giving me the freedom to grow into myself, and for being my home for the last 4 years. I'm really going to miss you.
More sentimental ramblings about SD to come I'm sure. 2 months from today...

Las Hadas & La Jolla
Las Hadas might be my new favorite little gem in Downtown. I had the greatest time Friday night with great friends, great food, great ambience, great waiters, and great drinks (tequila poppers).
Saturday I didn't do jack shit. And neither did the Lakers.
I woke up early Sunday morning to go support Dennis, Ant, & BZ at the La Jolla half. Veronica and I were able to wait at the 3 mile and 9 mile markers to cheer on our friends as well as other runners. Then we missed them crossing the finish because parking was a biznatch. But, we did find all our friends when the race was over to congratulate them. Many kudos to those who can run for more than a mile continuously.

Suck It Up
Having to put aside my personal feelings, my ego, and what is ultimately my selfishness for the sake of another person's happiness is a lovely idea, but a daunting task.
